The probe contains a heat-sensitive bimetal thermostat switch that activates when the preset temperature threshold is reached, closing the electrical contacts to trigger an alarm. Once the temperature falls below the set point, the system automatically resets.

A blinking red LED indicates normal and healthy operation status of the device, confirming that the probe sensor is functioning correctly. When the red LED remains steadily ON, it signifies that the probe heat sensor has been activated and the fire alarm zone circuit has triggered an alarm condition.
